Pride Fundraiser 2015

On Sunday, June 6th, LGBTea Dances, of Chester County, held its inaugural Pride Fundraiser to benefit the Phoenixville High School’s GSA club. The event was attended by over 125 local LGBTQA supporters and raised over $12,000. The evening kicked off with a cocktail reception in the rose garden of the Wyndham Garden Hotel in Exton, PA. Catering was provided by Rubeo’s Catering, and Brian Miller, owner of Chorus Photography, captured photos of guests socializing with event sponsors, Balance Hair Spa, Phoenixville Hospital, Bridge Street Chocolates, and others. Rachel Stevenson, LGBTea Dances’ board president, gave the keynote address, discussing her personal coming out story and the story behind the new LGBTea Dances non-profit organization and vision for its future. Guests were invited to participate in the silent auction, raffle prize drawing, and 50/50 drawing. The evening concluded with dancing to tunes spun by DJ Sally Spinner, dessert from Koch’s Cakes and Marley’s BYOB, and photo booth fun.

Our second annual Pride Fundraiser is scheduled for June 5, 2015, proceeded by a Pride Festival on June 4th in Reeves Park, Phoenixville, PA. Mark your calendars and stay tuned for details.
