EDUCATION PROGRAM

LGBT Equality Alliance has compiled a database of educators to enhance the ability of schools, businesses, and organizations to create a safe, inclusive environment for LGBTQ students, employees, and clients.

If selected, LGBT Equality Alliance will organize and fund a educational training session for your place of work. Trainers can focus on a variety of LGBTQ topics, such as:

  1. LGBT 101 / Terminology

  2. Transgender Issues

  3. Aging LGBT Population

  4. LGBT Inclusion in Schools / Workplaces

  5. Magnitude of Oppression

  6. Best Practices in working with LGBT students, clients, et al.

Availability

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis while funds are available. Complete the form below to apply for a training session. Please provide concise details about the purpose, audience, and ideal training dates. Most trainings can be delivered within 30-60 days of request.

 

PRIDE DRIVE

Every year the LGBT Equality Alliance gathers items for our Pride Drive which benefits homeless shelters in Chester County.
Our 2019 Pride Drive is from now until March 25th. On March 25th from 5pm-8pm we will gather at Congregation B’nai Jacob in Phoenixville for our packing party.

HIGH SCHOOL GSA MINI GRANTS

LGBT Equality Alliance is offering mini-grants to Gender-Sexuality Alliance/Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA) clubs at school districts within and around Chester County, PA. Grants provide funding for club activities, programs, and outreach initiatives. Grants do not cover travel expenses.

Grant requests must have an LGBT focus and include a project and budget proposal not to exceed $1,000. Grants can be submitted anytime throughout the year.
