On Saturday March 5, 2023 , the Executive Board of the LGBT Equality Alliance of Chester County was invited and recognized at the Greater Philadelphia HRC dinner.  It was an incredible, emotional, energizing, and empowering event.  LGBTQ+ people are under a coordinated attack in state legislatures across the country, with a record number of anti-LGBTQ+ bills passed in 2022 and more on track to be considered in 2023.  The work that the HRC is doing in our community is more critical than ever, and we are so grateful for the opportunity to support and partner with them.

The Human Rights Campaign (HRC) is the largest LGBT civil rights organization in the U.S. Every year, the HRC publishes its Corporate Equality Index (CEI) as a benchmark for LGBT workplace inclusion at large U.S. companies. Now in its 17th edition, this year’s index featured more than 560 employers spanning nearly every industry and geography.

I have seen many organizations promote their DE&I efforts without the programs, initiatives, benefits, and policies to back them up.  Having a solid DE&I program is not a marketing tactic...  It is an opportunity to change lives.  

The Corporate Equality Index is the national benchmarking tool on corporate policies, practices and benefits pertinent to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer employees.
