Advocacy Committee Kicks Off the Year with a Strong Start

The Advocacy Committee had a highly productive first meeting in January, with 20 engaged participants joining the discussion. Together, we examined the latest actions taken by the new administration and reviewed key legislation currently moving through the Pennsylvania State House and Senate.

Staying up to date remains a challenge, as new executive orders, proposed bills, and legal battles emerge daily. Despite this fast-changing landscape, our top priority remains steadfast: providing a safe space for our community to meet, stay informed, and take meaningful collective action.

Our first collective action will be joining multiple organizations and individuals at the Pennsylvania State Capitol in Harrisburg on March 31 at noon for Transgender Day of Visibility. We encourage everyone to hold the date and stay tuned for more details on how to participate.

We also invite you to join our next Advocacy Committee meeting on Thursday, February 27, at 7 p.m., which will be held virtually. To RSVP and receive the meeting link, please email Ronna@lgbteachesco.org. We look forward to continuing this important work together!
