OutFest 2025: Your Story Creates Our Story

OutFest 2025 is being reimagined as a powerful, hands-on experience rooted in the spirit of National Coming Out Day. Rather than recreating Pride, this year’s event centers on personal storytelling, reflection, and community connection.

A New Kind of LGBTQIA+ Celebration

Our theme, “Your Story Creates Our Story,” invites everyone—LGBTQIA+ individuals, allies, families, and community members—to explore the past, reflect on their own journey, and help shape the future.

OutFest will feature five interactive zones:

  1. LGBTQIA+ History – Learn about the milestones and movements that brought us here.

  2. Personal Storytelling – Write a letter to your younger self or share your coming out story.

  3. Affirming Expression – Explore banned LGBTQIA+ books, art, and creative self-expression.

  4. Community Resources – Connect with local organizations and affirming businesses.

  5. Collective Action – Record messages of encouragement and discover ways to advocate for change.

Inclusive, Reflective, and Community-Driven

OutFest 2025 is designed to be interactive, meaningful, and inclusive. Whether you're out, questioning, or showing up in support, your presence matters. This event is for everyone—students, families, educators, allies, and LGBTQIA+ folks of all ages and identities.

What wisdom would you share with others on their journey?

Your story—whether joyful, painful, or somewhere in between—can help others feel seen, supported, and inspired.
